STRATEGIC ROADMAPS The Research Strategy of the ENIAC Joint Undertaking is defined in the ENIAC Multi-Annual Strategic Plan. It has been elaborated on behalf of the ENIAC Joint Undertaking by AENEAS, with the support and involvement of the research and industrial community represented in it. The current version was adopted by the Governing Board of the ENIAC Joint Undertaking on April 3rd, 2008. A new version is currently being prepared. The document reflects the research priorities identified in the ENIAC Strategic Research Agenda, taking into account long-term societal needs and lead markets.
Basic principles of the ENIAC Multi-Annual Strategic Plan:
The ENIAC Strategic Research Agenda sets the milestones for the period 2008-2017 and indicates the main streams of research contents, classifying them into 8 sub-programmes: SP1 - Nanoelectronics for Health & Wellness PLEASE NOTE THAT SIGNIFICANT CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE SUB-PROGRAMMES IN 2010. In connection with the Multi-Annual Strategic Plan, an Annual Work Programme will be defined for each call and will represent the main reference, in terms of content, when creating a project proposal. Prepared by AENEAS, after the consultation of R&D actors, the Annual Work Programme is adopted by the Public Authorities Board of the ENIAC Joint Undertaking. It defines the specific R&D objectives to be achieved through each call. The Annual Work Programme focuses on downstream-oriented research and takes into account only part of the sub-programmes defined in the Multi-Annual Strategic Plan. The 2008 AWP was adopted on April 3rd, 2008 and included the following areas of focus: The 2010 AWP was adopted February 15, 2010 and includes the following areas of focus: SP1 - Automotive & Transport Information on requirements, implementation of the call, submission of proposals and eligibility criteria are also provided in the document.
