Eligibility criteria: The eligibility criteria for proposals, as well as the eligibility criteria to receive funding from the ENIAC JU and from ENIAC member States are specified in the document on eligibility criteria. Objectives: Joint Technology Initiatives (JTI) aim to achieve strategic focus by supporting common ambitious research agendas through mid-term technology R&D in areas that are crucial for competitiveness and growth, assembling and coordinating at European level a critical mass of research. The focus of the ENIAC JTI will be industrial R&D in the 'More Moore' and More than Moore' domains, executed with a clear application focus. The ENIAC JTI will also cover design, equipment and material R&D activities. Detailed objectives of the Call are set out in the Annual Work Programme 2008. Evaluation and selection:
Indicative timetable: It is expected that the grant agreement negotiations for the selected proposals wil start in November 2008. Project agreements: Participants in any project resulting from this call are required to conclude amongst themselves a project agreement. This project agreement shall lay down the intellectual property arrangements in compliance with Article 23 of the Statutes (2) annexed to Council Regulation 72/2008 of 20 December 2007 setting up the ENIAC Joint Undertaking. Ethical requirements: The ENIAC Joint Undertaking will not support projects which are contrary to fundamental ethical principles and those recalled in article 4 of the Council decision 2006/975/EC of 19 December 2006 concerning the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community. Suspensive Condition: this Call is launched under the condition that the Governing Board of the ENIAC Joint Undertaking approves the Financial Rules and the model Grant Agreement of the Joint Undertaking before the Call deadline. The interim Executive Director may cancel the Call if this condition is not fulfilled. In such a case, participants having responded to the Call will be duly informed by the interim Executive Director. (1) Under the condition that the preliminary draft amending budget No 3/2008 of the general budget of the Communities is adopted by the budgetary authority without modifications that affect this figure. (2) Note that a corrigendum of Article 23 (paragraph 3.4.2) of these Statutes will be published in the Official Journal in order to include the following footnote to this paragrah: "The participants may, by written agreement, agree on a different time-limit or waive their right to prior notice in the case of transfers of ownership from one participant to a specifically identified third party". | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
